Overview

This bald eagle tour is designed for photographers who want to capture bald eagles in dramatic action… diving, fighting, and feeding in one of the densest concentrations of eagles anywhere in the world.

We photograph from boats positioned directly in the heart of the tidal rips where eagles congregate by the hundreds. Fast action, controlled positioning, and consistent opportunities make this one of the most productive eagle photography experiences available

Location, Location, Location!

We are based at Nanook Lodge, located in the heart of a wildlife paradise off the west coast of British Columbia at the southern edge of the Great Bear Rainforest. From the lodge, it’s less than a one-minute boat ride to incredible bald eagle action. Other tours spend an hour each way on the water, we stay where the action is, giving you more time behind the camera and the flexibility to respond quickly to changing light and wildlife activity. no long transfers, no wasted time. You’re right where the action happens.

The nearby Arran Rapids create dramatic 14-foot tides and fast-moving currents that attract an abundance of life. This unique ecosystem draws hundreds of bald eagles along with whales, dolphins, bears, and other coastal wildlife making it one of the most diverse and rewarding photography destinations in Canada.

Nanook Lodge provides comfortable accommodations with private bathrooms in every room, Wi-Fi, chef-prepared meals, and inviting common spaces for image review and relaxation after long days on the water.
