Immerse yourself in the world of wildlife photography as we spend several days living on a charming lighthouse island surrounded by over 1200 nesting Puffins.   • Get up close and personal with the adorable Atlantic Puffins as they nest and go about their daily activities on the lighthouse island. Capture their vibrant beaks and distinctive personalities as they interact with each other. We are the only people staying on the island

  • I will provide guidance and tips for capturing the perfect shot. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, you'll learn new techniques to enhance your skills

Island Exploration

  • When you're not busy photographing puffins, take some time to explore the island's natural beauty. Discover its unique flora and fauna, other sea birds (Razorbills, Common Murres, Black-backed Gull, Cormorants, Savannah Sparrows) or simply relax and unwind in the tranquil surroundings.

Limited Group Size and best time for shooting

  • The group size is always limited due to the accommodation (6-8 people) allowing for one-on-one instruction if desired.

  • Staying on the island allows us to have exclusive access to the best times of the day to capture the Puffins for flight shots but also social interactions.

  • 4 days of photographing Puffins, Razorbills, Common Murre and more, from sunrise to sunset.

  • 3  nights single or double occupancy accommodation.

  • All meals prepared from fresh and typical local products.

  • Ground transportation from Sept Iles to the boat.  

  • Boat ride to the island before and after your stay.

  • National Park entrance fee

  • Photographic & video instruction, knowledge of the subject to enable best opportunities for desired photos

  • Logistics and management.

What’s not included.

  • All flights to and from Sept Iles

  • Alcohol on the island

  • Hotels for any nights before or after the workshop in Sept Iles and Montreal.

Payment & Booking Details

  • Price: $4899 CAD per person + 5% GST tax or $3600 USD + 5% GST

  • Deposit Options:

    • $500 deposit (non-refundable) to reserve your spot, with the balance up to 50% due within 60 days of booking.

    • 50% deposit at booking (non-refundable portion: $500).

  • Final Payment: Remaining balance due 90 days prior to the workshop or tour start date.

  • Currency: All payments are in Canadian Dollars unless otherwise noted. If you wish to pay in U.S. Dollars, personal checks are accepted by mail and full payment is required if paying in USD funds. Note: your spot is not confirmed until payment is received and processed.

  • Payment Reminders: Email reminders for final payment will be sent automatically.

Cancellation Policy

This tour involves accommodations and other arrangements requiring non-refundable, advance commitments by Ken Anderson Photography.

  • The $500 deposit to reserve your spot is non-refundable.

  • If you cancel before final payment is due, all payments will be refunded minus:

    • The $500 deposit to reserve your spot

    • Any unrecoverable third-party costs (e.g., permits, lodging, transportation deposits).

  • If you cancel after final payment, no refund will be issued.

    • If your spot is filled by another participant, we will refund the full amount paid minus the $500 deposit to reserve your spot.

  • We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and travel insurance to protect your investment.

Waiver Notice

All participants are required to sign a Liability Waiver prior to joining any Ken Anderson Photography workshop or tour. This waiver outlines the inherent risks associated with wildlife photography in remote environments and affirms that you are responsible for your own personal safety at all times.

A digital waiver will be sent to you upon registration and must be completed before the start of the workshop. If you have any questions about the waiver, please contact me directly.
